The work consists of the installation of concrete sidewalks and curbs, crosswalks, brick paver sidewalks, and landscaping along Broadway (U.S. Route 9) and Old Broadway in the Village of Sleepy Hollow New York. Other related work shall include preparing, restoring and cleaning the project area all in accordance with the plans and specifications as directed by the Engineer. Bids shall be made on the separate Bid Proposal Forms furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Village or a certified cashiers check drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Sleepy Hollow, New York, and are to be held by the Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Village of Sleepy Hollow as liquidated damages. The Village of Sleepy Hollow reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Village to do so. Any questions regarding the Contract Documents should be directed to Anthony Giaccio through email (agiaccio@sleepyhollowny.org). Bidders shall promptly notify Mr. Giaccio of any errors, omissions, conflicts or ambiguity within the Contract Documents within five (5) days of bid opening.
