This project will consist of replacing existing lead water services from the water main to the curb stop (ROW). Contract term: October 27, 2023 Contract documents and drawings may be examined at the office of the City Engineer, City Hall, 3rd floor, 47 Castle Street, Geneva, New York. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions set forth in the instructions to bidders. Upon acceptance of his bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of the owner, then the check deposited as aforesaid and the money standing to the credit of the same shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages or the payment of the bound enforced for the benefit of the owner. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the date set for opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to closing item for the receipt of bids. Bidders shall not include sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into this project. All work under this contract shall comply with all applicable ordinances, regulation, laws and with all rules of the State of New York Department of Labor. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or reject any or all bids, or to make an award to other than the low bidder.
