The project is to provide Architecture/Engineering services to support the replacement of existing buried gas lines. This project will replace deteriorated buried pipes across the Dayton Campus Core only. In addition to the piping and shut off valves Wright State University wants to replace and add isolation valves to give maintenance more control of the distribution. The University desires to have meters installed at all buildings which currently do not have a meter. WSU currently uses approximately 156,000 Mcfs annually and fluctuates based on weather conditions. There is an estimated quantity of 13,100 LF of TOTAL pipe. Most of the pipe is buried and the remainder running thru the tunnels. The University anticipates approximately 10,000 LF of metal pipe to be replaced. WSU has hired Utility Technologies International (UTI) to perform the required annual compliance survey. The 2021 data report is available along with pictures and maps.
