Construction Manager Services for for HVAC improvements in Territorial Hall, located on the east bank of the Twin Cities campus. Refer to the Request for Proposal documents (found in the Attachments tab) for full project details/requirements. Question Deadline Aug 02, 2023 at 12:00 PM Project Description (the "Work") The University of Minnesota is constructing improvements to the HVAC system at Territorial Hall to improve indoor air quality at resident rooms and replace end of life equipment. The Project will replace existing air handlers and fan coils and add outdoor air units serving resident rooms with additional related building improvements. The mechanical work includes: o Roof top outdoor air / dehumidification units with new distribution duct work to resident rooms located on the roof and in new duct shafts in resident rooms. o New fan coil units at resident rooms and replacement of horizontal branch hydronic piping to pipe risers. o Replacement of the existing basement air handler. Related building improvements include: o Modifications to resident rooms to construct duct shafts and update casework wardrobes. o Replacement of existing roof system including removal of precast topping slab, built up roofing, and all curbs, parapets, and penetrations to construct a new roof. o Replacement of main electrical switch gear and feeders. The Work is described in more detail in the accompanying predesign report and update to the predesign report produced by NV5. The Work is scheduled to be constructed in two phases over the summers of 2024 and 2025 in an unoccupied building. During the school year, work will be limited to spaces and activities not impacting student residents or paused. NV5 is the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project.
