A. Furnish and install all materials necessary for a complete modernization of 2 elevators in 1 existing shaft in existing building. B. Incorporate and coordinate new equipment to be provided with existing equipment to be reused to provide a complete installation. C. Any equipment designated to be reused shall be inspected and refurbished to be in like new condition. Such designated equipment found to be incompatible or deficient shall be immediately identified to the Owner for corrective action. D. Existing hoist ways shall be reused. E. The travel, speed, and openings of all elevators shall remain the same for existing elevators with front openings. F. All work shall be coordinated in such manner that the building will have minimum interruption of elevator service. G. Work is to be performed in approved phases, where applicable. All completed elevators shall be tested and approved prior to releasing for public use, and must operate in service without issue for a period of two days prior to commencement of the next phase of elevator(s) work. The Housing Authority reserves the right to cancel any solicitation and to accept or reject in whole or in part any bid for good cause when it is in the best interest of the Housing Authority. All bids shall be based on the products and systems specified.
