**As of October 13, 2023 , project was awarded to Tekton Construction, LLC, awarded amount is $1,222,158.52.** DESCRIPTION OF WORK The project includes the development of new park including pickleball courts, multi sports fields with laser grading and irrigation, open-air shelters, a new restroom building, a new maintenance facility, sidewalks, trails, asphalt and gravel roadways, gravel and concrete parking and utilities including gas, water, sanitary, and stormwater. The project includes demolition of existing wooded areas and a barn, for the Cardinal Run Park North Restroom and Maintenance Buildings, Lexington-Fayette County, Kentucky. BID SECURITY If the bid is $50,000 or greater, bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the base bid. LFUCG will only be accepting bids on-line through Ion Wave for this solicitation. Base bid and alternate totals (if required) should be provided on the appropriate line items tab on Ion Wave. Submissions without line item totals (if required) may be rejected and deemed non-responsive. All forms normally provided with bid submission should be downloaded from Ion Wave, filled out and attached with bid submission. A copy of bid bond must be included with submission. BID WITHDRAWAL No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the closing date for receipt of bids. Errors and omissions will not be cause for withdrawal of bid without forfeit of bid bond. REQUIRED BONDS The bonds required for this project are bid bond and performance and payment bond. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on a Form of Bid Bond and attached hereto, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the OWNER, in the amount of 5% of the bid. Such bid bond will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder(s) only upon written request to the Director of Procurement within seven (7) days of opening of bids. Bid bond shall be made payable to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. Bid security is not required for projects under $50,000. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES FOR FAILURE TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT The successful bidder, upon his failure or refusal to execute and deliver the Contract and bonds required within ten (10) days after he has received notice of the acceptance of his bid, shall forfeit to the OWNER, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his bid.
