The City of Brentwood reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to waive any irregularities or informalities in a proposal, and to accept any proposal, which, in its opinion, may be for the best interest of the City. Question Submission Deadline: August 9, 2023, 4:00pm Questions concerning the Request for Proposals should be sent through the Citys e-Procurement Portal, Question Response Deadline: August 11, 2023, 4:00pm The City of Brentwood is seeking Experienced Trail Building Contractors to provide proposals for the Smith Park Trail Construction Project. The trail will be located within Smith Park (1825 Wilson Pike), in Brentwood, TN. There are two sections to this trail. The first section, which is less challenging to construct, is being built by volunteers from the Middle Tennessee chapter of the Southern Off Road Bicycle Association with a small amount of contractor assistance (not subject to this RFP). The second and more challenging section ( the "City section") is the subject of this RFP. The selected contractor will only be responsible for the City section, though some minor coordination with SORBA may be needed. Attached you will find a project layout map that delineates the project area, as well as specifications required for this trail. This project is considered a "field build", thus no engineered plans are available for use beyond the profiles and specifications attached hereto. Contractors MUST visit the location prior to submitting their proposal. Each proposal will need an erosion control plan, assume the need for numerous drainage culverts and anticipate a minimum of 1100 square feet of rock armor for drainage. A project timeline will also be required. Topography prevents vehicular access from the developed parts of the park to the east, so site access will be through the Carriage Hills Subdivision to the north. There is an employee-only gate at the terminus of Carriage Hills Drive that provides access to the back side of Smith Park. Parking will be inside the park and must not be on Carriage Hills Drive. Every effort should be taken to minimize disruption to the Carriage Hills neighborhood. A portable restroom must be provided by the contractor for employee use for the duration of the project.
