The City of McHenry hereby gives notice that sealed Bids will be received for the construction of the Miller Park Sheriff Station. The Work of the Contract is generally described as follows: Construction of a 1,350SF building, sitework, sanitary lift station and low pressure force main via directional drilling and a potable well. Questions are due to ggruen@cityofmchenry.org no later than 12:00 p.m. CST on July 21, 2023. Each separate bid must be accompanied by an approved bid bond, certified check, or a cashier's check, drawn on a bank authorized to do business in Illinois, in a dollar amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the sum of the computed total amount of the bid or five hundred dollars ($500), whichever is greater. . Said check or bond shall be made payable to the City of McHenry and shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Work, will enter into Contract with the City, and will furnish the necessary Insurance Certificates and Performance, Labor, Material, and Maintenance Bond; said Bond to be in the amount stated in the General Conditions. In case of refusal or failure to enter into said Contract, the check or bid bond, as the case may be, shall be forfeited to the City. If the Bidder elects to furnish a bid bond as its bid security, the Bidder shall use the Bid Bond Form bound herein, or one conforming substantially to it in form. Bonds shall be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Illinois. Checks or share drafts shall be certified or issued by a State or National bank, or a credit union in Illinois or chartered under the laws of the United States. Payment and Performance Bonds are required for contracts with values at or exceeding $50,000.00. City of McHenry reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
