Sealed bids addressed to the City of Russellville will be received at the office of the Mayor at 203 S. Commerce, Russellville, Arkansas 72801 for furnishing all labor, material, equipment and performing all work required for the following project: 2023 Sidewalk Maintenance Project No. 23-004 East J Street From Boston to Detroit And on North Jackson Avenue off of J Street Russellville, AR The project includes removal and construction of concrete sidewalks and driveways, incidental curb and gutter, ADA ramps, a drainage structure, and sidewalk cleaning along East J Street, From Boston to Detroit and on N. Jackson Ave. off of J Street in Russellville, Arkansas as described in the plans and specifications. The successful bidder will agree to complete all work described in plans and specifications within 75 calendar days of the written Notice to Proceed. Failure to complete the work within specified time limits shall subject the contractor to liquidated damages for the delay. The attention of bidders is called to the fact that Arkansas Code Annotated 17-25-101, states that a Contractor must be licensed by the State Licensing Board for Contractors before they may undertake work when the cost thereof in Arkansas is Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) or more. The City of Russellville encourages participation of small, minority, and woman owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods, services and construction, either as a general contractor or subcontractor. It is further requested that whenever possible, majority contractors who require sub-contractors seek qualified small, minority and woman owned businesses to partner with them. Proposals will be considered on the basis of cost, the bidder's financial responsibility, his equipment, and his past performance in completing similar work. The City of Russellville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formalities, and to accept the proposal deemed to be for their best interest.
