The Town of Brookfield is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors to design and construct an extension to the Parks & Recreation Department upper garage, located at 45 Long Meadow Hill Road Town of Brookfield Parks Department is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors to design and construct an extension to the Parks & Recreation Department upper garage. The existing upper garage is a 30' x 40' metal barn with a pitched roof used for storing ground maintenance vehicles and equipment. The proposal is to extend the barn to the rear (East) by an additional 30' x 40' of the same or similar construction. o Remove the rear (East) wall of existing barn o Construct a 30' x 40' extension of the same or similar materials o Install 14' x 10' overhead garage door in new rear (East) elevation o Install a solid entry door in new rear (East) elevation o No Windows o No insulation or finish on interior walls o No insulation or finish on ceiling o Lay concrete slab for entire building 30' x 80' o No insulation under slab Access to the garage is gained via a side road approximately 400 feet south of the Brookfield High School main entrance. A Payment and Performance Bond is required for this work. The Bond must be in the form of a surety bond of a type satisfactory to the Town of Brookfield. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS circular 570. The Bond shall be delivered to the Town Finance Office prior to commencing work. The Town reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by or the investigation of such Bidder fails to satisfy the Town that such Bidder is properly qualified, or that such Bidder misrepresented material facts in the bid documents.
