The Town of Leesburg is located 35 miles west of Washington, D.C. The Town encompasses an area of 12 square miles with an estimated population of 54,215. The Town is the largest town in population in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Town Services include a general aviation airport, police, public works including street maintenance, storm water management, utility services including water and sanitary sewer, parks and recreation with 17 active and passive parks, and a genealogical and research library amongst other services. The Ida Lee Park Recreation Center is open daily to the public, except on December 25th. The swim facilities include a 10-lane by 25-yard competition pool, a spa, and warm water auxiliary pool, all of which are open year-round. The main indoor pool contains approximately 362,013 gallons of water, the auxiliary pool contains approximately 52,570 gallons of water and the spa contains approximately 4,000 gallons of water. The AV Symington Aquatic Center is operational seasonally from mid-March through midSeptember and includes one outdoor pool. The outdoor pool contains approximately 321,774 gallons of water. Contract Term: The term of this Contract shall commence on a date that is mutually agreed upon both parties and shall continue in force for one (1) year. Upon mutual agreement of both parties, this Contract may be renewed for four (4) additional one-year terms. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or in part and to waive minor informalities in the process of awarding this contract.
