The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to provide: thinning and piling according to Attachment B Scope of Work. Question Deadline 07/27/2023 at 2:00 PM MT Bid questions are to be submitted through the Bidding System Location and Description: Work under this Contract is located in 2 separate areas/groups scattered across the Monroe Mountain. The project is located in Sevier County, Utah. The legal location of the each treatment unit group is described below. The work location is shown on the attached vicinity and treatment unit maps. Elevations range from 9,300 feet to 10,000 feet within the project areas. Group 1 Location: Magleby private land Area of Monroe Mountain Township 26 South, Range 2 West, Section 2. Group 2 Location: Bagley private land Township 26 South, Range 2 West, Sections, 14, 22, 23 & 27. Group 3 Location: Long Flat private land Township 25 South, Range 2 West, Sections, 2, 11& 12, Access to the site: Access is possible by a combination of paved highways, county and Forest Service dirt surface roads. Vehicle travel is limited to designated routes; off road/trail vehicle travel is prohibited. Equipment will drive to the nearest designated route for maintenance, fuel, etc. In the event of a breakdown, then cross country travel could occur with FFSL & Land Owner approval. No cross country travel is allowed unless permission from landowner(s) are given. USFS will need to give permission to cross public lands around the units. Introduction: Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) and Utah Division of Forestry, Fire & State Lands (FFSL) is requesting Services in this contract to provide: o Line Item 1-Seral Aspen/Mixed Conifer Treatments up to 234.5 total acres o Line Item 2-Seral Aspen/Mixed Conifer Treatments up to 167 total acres o Line Item 3-Seral Aspen/Mixed Conifer Treatments up to 256 total acres o Line Item 4-Aspen/Mixed Conifer & Prescribed Fire Clean up Treatment up to 189 total acres See the attached maps for project layout and treatment units. This task order includes the Contractor to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals. Private Land, Land owners change minds and are not obligated to contract. Acreage can be subtracted do to land owners opting out of treatment.
