A certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid made payable to the City of Exeter will be required to accompany each proposal. This project requires the Contractor to have a Class A or combination of Class C licenses to perform all aspects of work. The City of Exeter would like to establish a contract with a Contractor for Cape Seal and Microsurfacing work on City-owned or Right-of-Way properties, such as, but not limited to streets, alleys, roadways, parking lots and pads. The work includes traffic control, cape seals and microsurfacing, restriping, and manhole and valve raising (where required). The bid forms are broken down by task for ease of calculating bids. The awarded Contractor shall be provided an Authorization to Proceed to begin work. Upon authorization, the Contractor shall be completed with the work within 30 working days. It is the City's intent that this work is completed between the 6 th of September 2023 and 6th of October 2023. This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all operations for the application of an asphalt maintenance process involved in Rubberized Crack Seal. All work shall be in accordance with these specifications, the applicable maps and street lists, and subject to the terms and conditions of this contract. For bidding purposes, the City has provided the length, square yardage, and Pavement Condition Index for various roadway segments in the project in Appendix C. City encourages prospective bidders to perform a site visit of the Project prior to bidding.
