Plans, Specifications and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by Pennoni Associates, Municipal Engineers, and approved by the Borough of Berlin have been filed in the office of said ENGINEER, at 515 Grove Street, Suite 1B, Haddon Heights, New Jersey 08035 (Telephone No. 856-547-0505), and may be inspected by prospective bidders during regular business hours. A Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Borough of Berlin for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond. In accordance with P.L. 2021, c. 301 a contractor submitting the lowest bid for a contract that is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, if that bid is 10 percent or more lower than the next lowest bid, to certify to the public body that the prevailing wage rates required by the Act shall be paid.
