The Project consists of a multi-family 5-Plex apartments will be a single-story slab on grade project. The complex will consist of five (5), 950 sq. ft. units consisting of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 common kitchen/family area, and a laundry closet with full-size washer and dryer. A single car garage per unit is included in the design. In accordance with the Nebraska Fair Housing Act, design will be in compliance for people with disabilities including doorways sufficiently wide enough for a wheelchair, adaptive design elements including light switches, electrical outlets, thermostats, and other environmental controls in accessible locations, and reinforcements in bathroom walls to allow future installation of grab bars. The open floor plan in the combined living space and kitchen will offer maneuverability for a person in a wheelchair as well as flexibility in use of space for a small family. The Contractor may start work when given Notice to Proceed. The Village Meeting Room for furnishing all equipment, labor, materials and appurtenances required to construct a 5-Plex Multi-Family Housing Unit and other such work as may be incidental. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids; and to waive irregularities or informalities to accept the BID it deems most beneficial. Bids received after the specified time of closing will be returned unopened. The Owner will accept only those sealed bids, either hand delivered or received via U.S. Mail or other commercial carrier. Items transmitted by facsimile or electronically will not be accepted. This project will be funded in part by the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
