**As of August 21, 2023, project was awarded to Blue Mountain Telecommunications, awarded amount is $772,024.14.** The Port of Columbia (Project Owner) is seeking bids for fiber construction from interested parties for its Public Works Board (PWB) funded project to build the Touchet Valley Broadband Project (Project), an extension of the Dayton Fiber-to-the-Home Project. The Project extends fiber infrastructure approximately six miles along Hwy 12 west of Dayton. Contractors must be licensed, bonded and insured in Washington State. Contractors are encouraged to commit to local hires for this project. Small, Minority- and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bids are required to include a five percent (5%) bid guarantee in form of a cashier's check, money order, or surety bond. This project is partially funded through the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board with federal funds from the U.S. Treasury ARPA Capital Project Funds. Contractors must be licensed, bonded and insured in Washington State. Contractors are encouraged to commit to local hires for this project. a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising there under. B. Payment and Performance Bonds shall include language that states the bonding company agrees to any and all changes made to the contract when made by change order and agreed to by both Parties The Port reserves the right to reject any or all offers if such action is in the best interest of the Port and waives informalities and minor irregularities in offers received The entire project must be completed by January 31, 2024.
