Kilgore, Scott and Thomas Halls is a combined and phased HVAC and laboratory renovations project addressing multiple needs across NC State's campus. The project will address deficient mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and bring the building into compliance with the NC State Building codes and regulatory laboratory requirements as follows: Kilgore Hall (53,950 GSF): CALS Horticulture Science & Classrooms. Scope includes HVAC renovations only. Budget = $10.0M Scott Hall (83,701 GSF): CALS Poultry Sciences & Classrooms. Scope is specific to the "Bird Wing" and includes both HVAC renovations and laboratory renovations. Budget = $8.8M Thomas Hall (99,386 GSF): COS Biological Sciences, CALS Plant & Microbial Biology, CALS Plant Pathology & Entomology, Microbiomes & Complex Microbial Communities Chancellor's Excellence Faculty Program & Genomics Core Facility. Scope includes HVAC renovations and laboratory renovations. Budget = $5.5M Project Budget: The project is authorized through advanced planning. The total anticipated project budget for the project is $24,300,000. Including all soft costs, design fees, equipment, etc. Project Schedule: The project is funded with State Appropriations. Design will begin immediately and proceed directly into construction.
