This project will consist of installing owner provided 25 ton Air-Cooled Condensing unit and DX evaporator coil. Contractor will furnish and install the following; 1) associated suction and liquid line refrigerant piping. 2) Misc. cushion clamps, piping, fittings and valves. 3) Contractor responsible for evacuating and charging with R410A refrigerant; 4) Insulate all lines; other required tasks regularly associated with this type of work. Lincoln County will be responsible for removing the old unit, placing new unit on the roof and making electrical connections. The Lincoln County Safety Building building is a two story brick structure built in 1981 with an addition added in 2008. This complex is home for the Lincoln Sheriff's offices and county jail. PROJECT NARRATIVE This project will consist of installing owner provided 25 ton Air-Cooled Condensing unit and DX evaporator coil. Contractor will furnish and install the following; 1) associated suction and liquid line refrigerant piping. 2) Misc. cushion clamps, piping, fittings and valves. 3) Contractor responsible for evacuating and charging with R410A refrigerant; 4) Insulate all lines; other required tasks regularly associated with this type of work. SPECIFICATIONS/SCOPE OF SERVICES These specifications/scope of services are intended to be primarily goal-oriented versus prescriptive in nature. Bidders shall describe their approach to installation of an Air-Cooled Condensing unit and DX evaporator coil within the building with a contractor's warranty. Contractor will install Trane 25T condensing unit, DX evaporator coil and related refrigerant specialties proper to the operation of the specified units. Charging and startup to be included and secure any/all permits required for the project. See the following: o Recover existing R22 refrigerant and properly dispose of per EPA regulations o Disconnect, remove and dispose of: o One (1) existing 25T Trane condensing unit o One (1) existing DX evaporator coil o Associated refrigerant piping and specialties o Install customer supplied equipment including o One (1) new 25T Trane condensing unit Set new condensing unit on existing roof rails o One (1) DX evaporator coil o Refrigerant specialties o Furnish and install associated suction line and liquid line refrigerant piping o Furnish and install miscellaneous cushion clamps, piping, fittings and valves o Evacuate and charge with R410a refrigerant o Insulation of new suction line piping o Refrigeration piping and specialties o Refrigeration handling equipment o Refrigerant/oil disposal fees o All labor, insurance, small tools, truck & travel charges o Startup o Local permits o Crane Rental Bidding this project should include a base line item for the entire project cost.
