Masonry Work, Waterproofing, Dampproofing, & Caulking Exterior repairs to the building's waterproofing system both above and below grade. ADD/DEDUCT ALT-1 is included as an option to install cladding to the exposed wall in lieu of performing some masonry repair The work shall be completed on or before 12/11/2023 from the Notice to Proceed and in general the Project includes: Exterior repairs to the building's waterproofing system both above and below grade. Site constraints will require carefully planned excavations, and all construction activities will be limited by allowable noise & vibration levels set by the facility. ADD/DEDUCT ALT-1 is included as an option to install cladding to the exposed wall in lieu of performing some masonry repairs. The Project consists of but not limited to: Waterproofing Repairs & Associated Work at Central Facility. Exterior repairs to the building's waterproofing system both above and below grade. Site constraints will require carefully planned excavations, and all construction activities will be limited by allowable noise & vibration levels set by the facility Any questions by prospective Bidders concerning interpretation of the Contract Documents must be submitted via email to KMailloux@umassp.edu Question Deadline 07/29/2023 a. The project consists of limited repairs to the exterior envelope components of the Central Facility building. The building shall be constructed so as to meet all requirements of the Massachusetts State Building Code, current edition, in addition to all other applicable codes and regulations. b. The facility currently houses laboratories and offices and is a 2-story structure, of Construction Classification IIA, for Use Group Business (B). c. The structural system is steel framing with concrete floor slabs and foundation. The east elevation exterior wall assembly consists of face concrete masonry unit cladding over concrete masonry unit backup wall. d. Excavation and associated work is a delegated design to the General Contractor. Refer to Excavation Delegated Design Notes on the Contract Drawings, Sheet C001.
