Rehabilitation of the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport Island East Wall, to the anchored steel sheet pile wall with the raised crest of the wall, for approximately 242m of island dock wall running from the western channel at its north end, to the hydroplane/seaplane ramp to the south. TIMELINE: Request For Proposals has been issued by the owner for Consultants for Coastal Engineering Consultancy to design structural repair, document and provide contract administration of the island dock wall as recommended by a 2023 Condition Study submitted by Shoreplan. Enquiries should be forwarded to the owner prior to August 4, at 5:00:00 PM EDT. ADDENDA The closing date has been extended. Ports Toronto reserves the right to reject a Respondent's Proposal on the basis of information provided by the Respondent's references. The cost of installation of steel sheet pile in front of the existing wall was estimated to be $29,300\ per metre of wall. The total cost of this option along the length of the wall is $6.2M. The cost of installation of the concrete cope wall above elevation 71.5m was estimated to be $39,200 per metre of wall. The total cost of this options along the length of the wall is $9.6M. These costs include a 30% contingency allowance but do not include allowances for design and fish habitat enhancements or HST.
