Granite School District (GSD) is requesting the services of a Walk-in Cooler/Freezer Vendor/Contractor for the fabrication and installation of a replacement walkin freezer box to be installed at the Hilda B. Jones Center, 382 Baird Circle, Salt Lake City, Utah. Work shall include, but is not limited to: o Field verification of existing conditions. o Demolition and removal of existing walk-in box, evaporator, and condenser. o Installation of new freezer system including walk-in box, evaporator, condenser, any new refrigeration piping, charging with refrigerant, etc. o Start-up/commissioning of new equipment. o Final connections for electrical, in-fill of existing door opening, wall and floor finishes in the prep room are excluded from this Contractor's scope of work. Question Submission Close Date 8/14/2023 2:00 PM MDT The bidder is required to submit a Bid Bond with the bid for a total bid amount that is over $50,000.00. Refer to instructions contained in the solicitation documents on the Utah Public Procurement Place. Failure to submit a Bid Bond will cause the bid to be considered non-responsive. The successful Contractor will be required to pass a background check which will allow for issuance of a security badge and additional access. The badge costs $40.00 payable by exact cash or a VISA or Master Card in the name of the individual receiving the badge. Only the Site Superintendent and Project Manager will be required to acquire a badge. Bidders will be required to provide bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid amount, at the time the bid is submitted, if the total bid amount for any job is $50,000 or greater
