The proposed project includes the renovation of multiple rooms on the second floor of the Dublin Civic Center. All work is to be performed outside Civic Center normal business hours. This includes the demolition and removal of existing finishes, storage system, doors; construction and alteration of new wall and existing ceiling and storefront systems; extension and alteration of existing building HVAC, Electrical and Low Voltage AV and Data systems to service new spaces. Please refer to the Project Documents (Drawings and Technical Specifications) for full detailed scope of work. The City's estimated total construction cost for this Project is between $200,000 - $300,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Project to be completed within a total maximum of 90 Calendar Days after the dates specified in the City's Notice to Proceed. The City will assess liquidated damages in the amount of $500 for each and every calendar day of delay in finishing the work in excess of the contract time. Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 20171, all bids must include bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Amount. After award of contract, the successful bidder must provide security for faithful performance, labor and materials, and warranty, as well as proof of insurance, in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Contract Documents. Bonds must be executed by an admitted surety possessing a valid certificate of authority issued by the California Department of Insurance. The City of Dublin reserves the right to postpone the date and time for the bid opening at any time prior to the date and time announced in the advertisement pursuant to applicable law. Last day for Bidder questions to be emailed is Friday, July 28, 2023. Where appropriate, the City may respond to such questions by addenda transmitted to all plan holders. Questions concerning the project or the bid package must be submitted by facsimile to (925) 829-9248, ATTN: Michael Boitnott or by email at michael.boitnott@dublin.ca.gov, a THE WORK OF THIS CONTRACT INCLUDES PROVIDING ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES NECESSARY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF INTERIOR DEMOLITION AND REWORK OF THE EXISTING STORAGE ROOM, CONFERENCE ROOM AND FILES ROOM WITHIN THE DUBLIN CITY CENTER WITHIN THE SCOPE OF WORK AREA. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL THOROUGHLY REVIEW THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS HIM/HERSELF AND WITH ALL TRADES AND ACCEPTS THE MATERIALS, SYSTEMS, DETAILS, AND ASSEMBLIES AS BEING CONSTRUCTIBLE AND CAN BE WARRANTED FOR A TIME PERIOD CONSISTENT WITH INDUSTRY STANDARDS UNLESS A SPECIFIC TIME PERIOD IS NOTED HEREIN.
