Reference Number 0000324913 EPA's Lead and Copper Rule Revisions requires water utilities to develop a system-wide lead service line inventory and lead service line replacement plan by October 2024. The inventory is a massive effort and requires identifying the service line material on both the city and customer owned service lines. The LCRR requires lead service lines and galvanized service lines that may have been downstream of a lead line (known Galvanized Requiring Replacement or GRR) to be replaced at a rate determined by future compliance sampling results. The Work to be performed under the Lead Service Line Inventory Project consists of furnishing all labor, traffic control, materials, equipment, tools, and supplies for approximately 1,000 addresses to determine water service line material in accordance with the City of Aurora and State Guidelines. Three potholes are anticipated for each service line, two on the private side of the meter and one in the public right-of-way.
