Project includes refurbishment of Thermal Oxidation (TOX) No. 3, which is a fluidized bed sewage sludge incinerator, at the GEB WRRF. In summary, the refurbishment work will include reactor refractory repairs and replacement, primary heat exchanger replacement, refractory lined ducting replacements, and refractory lined expansion joint replacements. Other work includes small diameter duct and piping reroute and replacement, new damper and valve installation, structural work within and about the TOX 3 building, modifications to various piping systems, and relining of ash tanks. Temporary bypass pumping will also be required around the ash lagoon supernatant wetwell to determine whether relining of the wetwell will be conducted under the Project. The Agency intends on prequalifying Respondents in four (4) Construction Work categories. The Construction Work categories include: 1. General Contractor, eligible to bid on the Project in the subsequent Request for Tender; 2. Incineration Subcontractor, eligible to be carried by the General Contractor for the incineration scope of work; 3. In-Plant Piping Subcontractor, eligible to be carried by the General Contractor for the in-plant piping scope of work; and 4. Wetwell/Tank Protective Coating Subcontractor, eligible to be carried by the General Contractor for the wetwell/tank protective coating installation scope of work. Bonding: A Performance Bond and Labour and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 50 per cent of the Contract value, which for the purposes of this prequalification is estimated up to $15,000,000.
