BASE BID work is for full depth asphalt pavement widening, asphalt milling and overlays, and other associated work as required by the Contract Documents on S 700 E between E Pierce Street and E 200 S in the Town of Whitestown, Indiana. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check made payable to the Town of Whites town or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana and whose name appears of the current Treasury Department Circular 570. BONDS: A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price will be required form the Contractor to whom the work is awarded. RETAINAGE: The Owner shall retain ten percent (10%) of then amount of each payment until fifty percent (50%) of the work is complete. Retaining amount being held is not to exceed five percent (5%) of the total contract amount. On completion and acceptance of a part of the Work on which the price is stated separately in the Contract Documents, payment may be made in full, including retained percentages, less authorized deductions. NON-COLLUSION AFFIDAVIT: The bidder is required to sign the Non-Collusion Affidavit as set forth in the Contract Documents.
