The BESSEMER STREET PATCHING 2023-2024 Project consists of an on-call as needed utility street patching project throughout the City of Bessemer and the Bessemer Water service area. Estimated annual quantities include1,950 tons of 1/2" maximum aggregate size mix of hot-mix asphalt patching and 15,000 square yards of planing existing pavement 0"-2" thick. Project also includes crushed aggregate base course in undercut areas and utility adjustments as needed. Contractor shall adhere to Part 6 - Temporary Traffic Control of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), 2009 edition. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Engineer's Bracket Estimate: $700,000 - $775,000 The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner' s judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to City of Bessemer in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal along with Non-Collusion Affidavit. A One Hundred Percent (100%) Performance Bond and a One Hundred Percent (100%) Payment Bond and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.
