A. General: Project name is FIRE STATION NO. 2 as shown on the Contract Documents prepared by Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC, dated July 2023. B. Contract Documents indicate the Work of the Contract and related requirements and conditions that have an impact on the project. Related requirements and conditions that are indicated on the Contract Documents include but are not necessarily limited to the following. 1. Existing site conditions and restrictions on use of the site. 2. Site work, erosion control, and construction sequencing. 3. Utility installation. 4. Building Construction. C. Summary by References: Work of the Contract can be summarized by references to the Contract, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, (if any), Technical Specification Sections, Drawings, Addenda and modifications to the Contract Documents issued subsequent to the initial printing of this Project Manual and including but not necessarily limited to printed material referenced by any of these. It is recognized that work of the Contract is also unavoidably affected or influenced by governing regulations, natural phenomenon including weather conditions, and other forces outside the contract documents. The Project includes the following Work: Grading and drainage; Construction of a Fire Station to include fire fighter quarters and fire truck bays. Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only and in order to be considered an official bidder contractors must obtain plans and specifications from Goodwyn Mills & Cawood Inc. Please also fill out the order form if it is in the ITB and email that form to the GMC contact PLEASE NOTE: The estimated value listed for this project is for searchability purposes only and does not reflect the actual construction budget as determined by the owner. It should not be used for estimation purposes at this time. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the best and most responsible bidder. All bidders must comply with requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work on which the proposal is submitted. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying the license number on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered.
