The City of Benicia previously invited Bids for the WWTP Primary Treatment Rehabilitation Project in July, 2023. At that time, the apparent low bid exceeded the authorized funds for the project and all bids were rejected. This invitation to Bid is for a similar project under the same project name including the following changes: 1. The original bid package required that bypass pumps be diesel powered. The revised bid package allows for the use of electric pumps (skid-mounted or submersible) which may be powered by City facilities. City will be paying for costs of electricity used by these electric bypass pumps. 2. The original bid package included four bypass locations. The City will now be providing the fourth bypass setup. 3. Revised specification section 03925 includes additional polyurethane coating products as approved equals and modified material requirements to ensure these alternative products could meet specification. 4. Added new scope: removal and replacement of the existing helical skum skimmer and beach for clarifier #1. Location of Work: 614 E. 5th Street, Benicia, CA 94510 The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Costs is approximately $4.0M to $4.1M Completion of Work: All work shall be completed within 214 Working Days for the date when the Contract Time commences to run.
