Installation of approximately 1,600,000 gallon Water Storage Tank and In-Reservoir Water Treatment Equipment System on Halstead Road in the Town of Alexander. The Work will be substantially complete within 210 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 240 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run Only written Requests for Information (RFI) will be accepted. RFI's will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. (Local Time) on July 21, 2023, at the office of the Engineer to the attention of Scott Lawler. via email: slawler@mountainengineers.com. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. Security for Faithful Performance: The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. Sales and Use of Tax Exemptions: The Town of Alexander is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the Town of Alexander pursuant to this contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment, and supplies to be sold to the Town of Alexander pursuant to this contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building, or other real property forming part of the project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid All bids shall be binding for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. The Town of Alexander reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein 1. A deposit of $200.00 will be required for each set. Cash deposits will not be accepted. If bid documents are to be shipped, then Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. Also required is Federal I.D. Number or Social Security Number at time of purchase. All deposit checks are to be made payable to the Town of Alexander. A refund will be made by Town of Alexander in the amount of $200.00 to Bidder(s) or $50.00 to Non-Bidders, for the return of all the sets in good condition within (30) days of the bid date. 2. For a non-refundable fee of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75), interested firms may request and receive an electronic download of the bidding and contract documents. 3. For a non-refundable fee of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the bidding and contract documents. The Contract Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan holder of record. Bids will only be accepted from Plan Holders of record.
