This project consists of the successful Bidder furnishing all qualified personnel, supervision, labor, services, materials, equipment, facilities, travel, overhead and incidentals necessary for Disaster Heavy Civil Construction and Related Items for the Harris County Office of the County Engineer. 1. Storm Sewers All manhole covers and inlets shall be adjusted by the Contractor to match proposed finish pavement, sidewalk, or driveway elevations. 2. Concrete Pavement, Sidewalks, Curbs andDriveways Saw cutting of existing concrete pavement, curbs, and sidewalks shall be completed at locations where proposed construction ties into existing. Saw cutting shall be considered incidental to the work and will not be paid separately. 3. Signing and Pavement Markings Removal of existing pavement markings shall be completed in accordance with Harris County Specification 672. Removal of existing pavement markings shall be considered incidental to the work and will not be paidseparately. 4. Traffic Control During Construction Traffic Control shall be phased so that at least one lane is always open to traffic, unless conditions require complete closure for safety until repairs are completed. 5. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Contractor is responsible for cleaning of streets caused by associated construction at close of each workday. Brooming and/or cleaning-up of the roadway shall be incidental to the project. Bank cashiers check payable to Harris County for 5% of the total amount of each separate bid. Harris County reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity, to make awards to more than one Bidder, by total, by group, by item or as best serves the county and/or to reject any or all bids if there is a sound documented reason. Requests for interpretation (and other questions) must be made in writing by the questions deadline either via Bonfire at https://harriscountytx.bonfirehub.com/portal/ or via email melissa.mccord@pur.hctx.net. The deadline for submission of questions relating to this IFB is July 21, 2023 no later than 12:00 p.m. CST. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Historically Underutilized Businesses, Section 3 Business Concerns, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. All bids rejected Harris County will not be liable for any costs incurred by the Bidder in preparing a response to this IFB. Bidders submit Bid(s) at their own risk and expense. Harris County makes no guarantee that any products or services will be purchased as a result of this IFB and reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
