Design services are requested for implementation of Phases 1 and 2 of the Fort Pitt Park Master Plan, which includes a renovated football field and new parking lot plus accompanying site amenities, lighting, stormwater management, etc. The City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works (DPW), working with the beneficial input of community partners, requests proposals from qualified landscape architectural firms for park and infrastructure improvements in Fort Pitt Park. The 9.5 acre neighborhood park is located in the Garfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh, on a level area surrounded by steep, wooded slopes. It serves the residents of Garfield including the Garfield Gators youth football team. In May 2021, the City of Pittsburghs Department of City Planning completed the Fort Pitt Master Plan. The Master Plan focuses on improving existing facilities, namely the football field, to better serve residents, while adding other neighborhood park amenities and enhancing the parks ecology and site access.
