Estimate: $544,450.00 It is the intent and purpose of these contract documents to provide for improvements to the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 6499 Georgia Street. CONTRACTOR TO PERFORM ALL WORK AS INDICATED. This contract shall provide for the necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, equipment, electrical, controls, and all other related construction for the proposed project. Also refer to the Summary of Electrical Scope of Work. SUMMARY OF WORK A. New Chlorine Ton Cylinder Storage and Feed Equipment: Furnish and install a complete, fully functional chlorination system, including all connections to existing piping, scales, storage, chlorinators, ejectors, booster pumps, piping, fittings, valves, chlorine detectors, alarms, SCBA system, eyewash station, electrical, controls, wiring, and appurtenances. B. New Sodium Bisulfate Storage and Feed Equipment: Furnish and install a complete, fully functional sodium bisulfate dechlorination system, including all connections to existing piping, double wall chemical storage tanks, feed pumps, tank level monitors, piping, fittings, valves, connections, electrical, wiring, and appurtenances. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Port Neches; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid Bids are invited for several items and quantity of work as follows: Furnish and install new chlorine ton feed, storage, and equipment, all sodium bisulfate equipment, feed, and tanks, all safety equipment, and all related appurtenances. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.
