**As of August 21 2023, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary to complete the work including 2300 sy of pavement removal, 225 Ton HMA, construction of 12x20 wooden overlook and 1300 ton of aggregate trail construction, and all incidental construction at Oakwoods Metropark in Wayne County, Michigan. Bids shall be submitted on the form included in the bidding documents, and shall be accompanied by a Cashiers Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond underwritten by a surety licensed in the State of Michigan, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract. The Bond Forms for the Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bond, are provided herein. The amount shown for each shall be equal to 100 percent of the full amount of the Contract. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: The undersigned agrees that time is an essential condition of the Contract and shall totally complete the work on or before February 29, 2024. Should the undersigned fail to complete the work by this date, it is agreed that the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per day will be deducted from the Contract Amount for each and every calendar day the work is incomplete. After the time of opening, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. Inquiries regarding this project should be directed to Andrew Caulk at 810-494-6054.
