As of 8/3/2023, the owner has determined the pre-qualified Design Biilders The County desires to enlarge the maintenance area and building, add six (6) additional pickleball courts, add a restroom near pickleball, full shade canopy over the existing playground and add netting on one of the multi-purpose fields. Phase One: Construct the netting and shade canopy that needs no design, Preparation of park improvements implementation plan and option matrix for the County for approval, design documents and permitting information development (30-60% design) such that the selected design-builder can prepare and provide a project implementation guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposal. Phase Two: Complete design, permitting, construction and post-construction tasks, including support and closeout documents in accordance with the GMP. (Phase Two GMP may be divided into one or more phases to expedite construction). Pickle Ball Courts - There are currently 6 total pickle ball courts at the park. York County would like to design and install 6 additional fenced in courts with lighting, located behind the existing courts with connection points. Maintenance Facility - The current maintenance facility and yard is too small. York County would like to remove and replace the existing building with a larger building, extend the yard existing fencing, and pave the entire new fenced in yard. New Restroom - With the expansion of the pickle ball courts, York County would like to design and construct a new restroom facility. This facility can be stand alone or part of the new maintenance building. The objective of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit interest and credentials from qualified team, licensed in the State of South Carolina to provide progressive design-build services for improvements to Field Day Park in Lake Wylie SC. Responses to this RFQ will be used to determine the relative qualifications of various teams to perform the scope of work and tasks specified. The County is seeking proposing teams with demonstrated expertise that meets the requirements of this RFQ. In order to be considered for this project, it must be demonstrated that the team and the team members should have recent experience in similar design and construction of public park facilities.
