The works includes mill and overlay of Town streets, Chip Sealing of various roads at various locations around Town and Slurry Seal of various road and parking areas at various locations around Town. The sum of this Bid Bond is not less than five percent (5%) of the Principal's Bid The Performance and Payment Bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Agreement Price, as indicated by Change Orders and all Modifications, as security for payment of all wages and bills contracted for materials, supplies, and equipment used in the performance of the contract. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds and comply with the insurance provision as specified by the Contract Documents. A 5% Bid Bond will be required. The Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements are made applicable to projects financed with SRF funds. The date by which the Work is to be completed (the Contract Time) is set forth in the Agreement. Provisions for liquidated damages are set forth in the Agreement. The owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities or to waive any technical defects in the bidding process as the best interest of the OWNER may be served. The OWNER also reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Basis of award will be the lowest responsive and responsible Bid as determined by the owner. Prospective Bidders may visit the site between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. The Town of Buena Vista Public Works Director, Shawn Williams, may be reached at (719) 581-1049.
