The Project is Located Along Micco Road, Near Sebastian Southwest of Barefoot Bay in Brevard County, Florida. The Project Involves the Replacement of an Existing Structurally Deficient Bridge Along Micco Road Over the Sottile Canal. The Replacement Bridge Will Span Over the Sottile Canal in a Single Span. The Replacement Bridge Will Carry Two 11-foot Travel Lanes With 8-foot Shoulders and a Barrier Protected 5-foot Sidewalk. The Contractor Performing the Work Shall Be State of Florida Department of Transportation (F.d.o.t.) Pre-qualified in the Major Work Class Minor Bridges. Question Deadline 07/20/2023 at 5:00 PM ET The Request Must Be Made via Email to the Procurement Analyst, James Norris James.norris@brevardfl.gov . Additional work classes anticipated on this project include: Drainage, Flexible Paving, Grading, Grassing, Seeding and Sodding, Guardrail, Pavement Marking, Roadway Signing, Sidewalk, as well as Other Work Classes: Handrails, Milling, Pile Driving, Riprap, Rubble Riprap. The bid form consists of Roadway, Permanent Bridge, Temporary Bridge, and New Acrow Bridge subsections. The Base Bid consists of the total of Roadway, Permanent Bridge, and Temporary Bridge. The project will be awarded based on the lowest Base Bid. In the event the Alternative Bid item is selected as being in the best interests of the County, the project will be awarded based on the lowest summation of an individual bidder's Base Bid and Alternative Bid, less the Lump Sum amount of Temporary Bridge Item 102-2-2 Special Detour (Bridge).
