If on this date the Union Township School District is closed to all students and all staff or has an early dismissal due to weather or any other emergency that closes all schools and offices for all students and all staff prior to 11:00am, bids will be due at 11:00am on the next day that the school district is open. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interests of the School District. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to the maximum extent of its lawful discretion. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination," and affirmative action, P.L. 1975, C. 127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders are also required to comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Statement of Ownership Disclosure Requirement) and P.L. 2004, c. 57 (Business Registration provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:32-44). Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the "Union Township School District", in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Each bidder must possess one or more of the following DPMC Classifications: C008 or C009 or CO32. Each bidder must also possess or utilize subcontractors who possess the following DPMC classifications: C008 or C009 and CO32 and CO47. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Bidder receives contracts in excess of $50,000 from public entities in a calendar year. Last day to submit RFI's to be answered is Thursday July 20 at 10:00am. Plan deposit is refundable in accordance with the terms in the Instructions to Bidders to all submitting bids. Operation and maintenance manuals shall be submitted at least FORTY FIVE (45) consecutive calendar days prior to scheduled startup of the unit or system.
