Furnish all labor, materials (except as herein noted), equipment and means to reconstruct the existing parking lot, and reconstruction of Chestnut Street, and other Work as described in the Contract Documents and shown on the Drawings. The Work for includes and is not limited to the following, for both the site and the former Chestnut Street location Protection of adjoining properties and traffic during the work. Guarding the site Demolition of existing fencing, concrete, etc. as needed. Milling of existing asphalt Provide wellhead protection for monitoring wells Install new asphalt curbing, sidewalk, paving, striping, signing and bumper blocks Repairs to existing fencing Erosion and sediment control Excavation, storage, and removal of soils that may be deemed as hazardous materials. The project calls for two hundred seventy-four (274) parking spaces, which will be a combination of existing and new spaces. The work includes, but is not limited to site clearing, soil erosion control and maintenance of the same, grading and compaction, paving, pavement markings, signage, and all related items for a complete project in every respect. The above-referenced Project is subject to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rates. Certified Payroll Reports must be submitted and approved before payments can be made.By submitting a Bid Proposal, the Bidder agrees to comply with the "Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act" of August 15, 1961. The Prevailing Wage Determination is included in Exhibit A of this document. Certified Payroll Reports must be submitted and approved before payments can be made. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid amount must accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The awarded contractor must submit their 100% Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bonds with Contract and Certificate of Insurance with signed contract. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, Owner shall secure and pay for the zoning permit. Contractor shall secure and pay for other permits, fees, licenses, and inspections by government agencies necessary for proper execution and completion of the Work that are customarily secured after execution of the Contract and legally required at the time bids are received or negotiations concluded. Question Deadline 08/25/2023 at 4:00 PM Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents via the Clarifications from Vendors feature in PennBid. In response to clarifications, Engineer may issue an Addenda to on the PennBid portal for all registered parties. RACC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities, omissions, errors, mistakes, or defects in any Bid, or to accept or reject any or all bids at its sole discretion in the best interest of the College Owner reserves the right to alter or amend any or all of these provisions in the project contract.
