The project is for the widening of Jericho Park Road to the north of the new ELLC building. The enhancement was required by DPIE/DPW for the referenced building development. The elements of the project include widening of about 400 ft. of roadway, relocation of an 8 in. water line, relocation of a water hydrant, relocation of a BGE pole, tree removal, and swales for SWM. Also, demolition of a metal fence with replacement and demolition of sidewalk with replacement. The bond must be in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base proposal plus alternate prices, and shall be in the form specified. Certified checks, cash and other security set forth - Bonds, are acceptable in lieu of proposal bonds, and shall be submitted with the Price Proposal and be subject to the same conditions as bonds. The proposer to whom a contract in excess of $100,000 is awarded also must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, including executed Change Orders, on the form provided. These Performance and Payment Bonds must be provided at the time of the signing of the contract, and prior to the start of any work. DEADLINE for QUESTIONS AND INQUIRIES July 19, 2023, 5:00 P.M. Proposals shall be valid for a minimum of one hundred twenty (120) days following the closing date of this RFP. Proposers must be licensed as required by the Business Regulation Article of the Maryland Annotated Code, (Sections 17-301 through 17-308) and shall submit proof of current licensing with their technical offers. The University may cancel this request for proposal in whole or in part, at any time. The University reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept any proposal, when it is in the best interest of the State of Maryland.
