The purpose of this project is to remove and replace the pavement of the courts and the fencing surrounding them. In addition, the project will include the installation of new benches, demolition of the existing reinforced concrete retaining wall, construction of a new modular block retaining wall, construction of a new sidewalk extending the existing sidewalk, installation of a new pavilion, and planting of new surrounding landscaping and shade trees. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ( the Act ) which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government s E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply.
