The California Department of Food and Agriculture needs a contractor to remove and dispose of door motors, and then replace with new door motors. The overhead door motors for the Truckee Border Protection Station have been damaged due to wear and tear and need to be replaced. Nineteen (19) door motors will be removed and disposed of, and nineteen (19) new door motors, modified to work in damp outdoor environments, will be installed in place. Contractor Responsibilities General Provisions: 1. The Contractor shall obtain permits and/or licenses necessary to comply with all laws, codes, and regulations applicable to performing this scope of work. 2. The Contractor shall obtain approval from the station manager before beginning work. 3. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the scope of work. 4. All work shall be performed under favorable weather and temperature conditions as per material label instructions. 5. The Contractor shall take all reasonable measures to protect State and/or private properties from any damage. 6. The Contractor must obtain prior approval from the Station Manager if services might cause an interruption in the routine operations of the facility. 7. The Contractor shall provide a guarantee of work from the date of completion, for all work related to this contract. Contractor shall: 1. Remove and dispose of nineteen (19) overhead doors motors currently installed.2. Install nineteen (19) new Liftmaster CGH501L5 Gearhead Chain Hoist Heavy Duty High Cycle Commercial Industrial Operators with Standard Sensor Eyes, 115V, with damp environment modification and cord reel. CDFA Responsibilities: CDFA Shall: 1. Keep work area around overhead doors clear of traffic and accessible to the contractor Post Job Approval 1. All work shall be subject to approval of Station Manager. 2. The Contractor shall repair anything that is determined to be unsatisfactory by the Station Manager at no additional cost. Cost Proposal Contractor shall include the cost of providing rights under Labor Code, Unemployment Insurance Code, and Industrial Welfare Commission Order in their proposed budgets. The term of this contract is November 1, 2023, or upon final/Department of General Services/Office of Legal Services (DGS/OLS) approval, whichever is later, through June 30, 2024. Written questions must be received by 12:00 PM PT:July 19, 2023 Post Questions and Answers by 5:00 PM PT: July 26, 2023 To maintain fairness during the bidding process, all questions must be submitted in writing and sent to the Grants and Contracts Unit email (grantsandcontractsunit@cdfa.ca.gov) only. The subject line of the email must contain the Bid Number. Bidders must not contact any program staff during the bidding process as this could result in disqualification. Answers to questions received prior to the submission deadline listed above, will be provided via a formal addendum and will be posted electronically In the event a potential prime contractor is unable to attend the mandatory walk-through, an authorized representative may attend on their behalf. The representative may only sign-in for one (1) company. Subcontractors may not represent a potential prime contractor at a pre-bid conference or walk-through. If this walk-through is mandatory, no bid will be accepted unless the bidder or their authorized representative was in attendance. Bidders must email the address listed on the cover page of this IFB no later than five working days prior to the scheduled date and time of the pre-bid conference/walk-through to arrange for a reasonable accommodation for those who need assistance for the walk-through due to physical impairment.
