Award: Rockin SM for $142,329.26 Scope: This project will be to replace all cold-water supply piping at the Ottawa County Jail. New water lines from manifold to eleven (11) areas throughout the jail facility. The Contractor shall furnish all material, insulation, labor, supervision, tools, supplies and equipment necessary to provide a fully operational system in continuous use at their established capacity and efficiency and for their intended purpose. This project will require Contractor and/or their employees to be working with-in the Jail facility where inmate are held. Sheriff's Department will do their best to isolated inmates and workers when possible. Sheriff's Department will also do their best to have a Jailer inside the pod where inmates are held when possible. Secure all lines for safety protocols and follow safety protocols during removing and installing of new water lines. All materials and tools must be accounted for during working hours and all tools need to be taken with the workers at the end of the day. Contractor shall provide an itemized breakdown of costs for the following major components, including but not limited to: A. Remove all existing cold-water piping. B. Install new cold-water piping in same location with the correct support system. C. From mechanical room to tower: run new 3" pex to manifold above the tower and install new 3/4 pex line to the tower bathroom for 1 sink and 1 toilet D. A Pod: install new 1.5" pex line from manifold above tower to 11 dorm units to the toilets and sinks (1 each per unit) and 1 pod shower E. B pod: install new 1.5" pex line from manifold above tower to 11 dorm units to the toilets and sinks (1 each per unit) and 1 pod shower F. C Pod: install new 1.5" pex line from manifold above tower to 4 toilets, 4 sinks and 2 showers G. D Pod: install new 1.5" pex line from manifold above tower to 4 toilets, 4 sinks and 2 showers H. H2: install new 1.5" pex line from manifold above tower to 1 toilet, 1 sink and 1 shower I. E and F pod: install new 1.5" pex line from manifold above tower to E pod (2 toilets and 2 sinks) and F pod (2 toilets and 2 sinks) J. Kitchen: install new 1.5" pex line from manifold above tower to 5 sinks K. Book-in: install 1" pex line H2 to book-in bathroom to 1 sink and 1 toilet L. Lobby, office bath and kitchen: install 1" pex line from manifold above the tower to lobby bathroom (2 sinks and 2 toilets), office bathrooms (4 sinks, 1 urinal and 3 toilets). Office kitchen (1 sink) M. Number of hours expected and total cost of labor N. List of materials needed to complete job and cost O. Any extra equipment needed to complete job with cost. (Example: rental or lease of equipment) P. Start-Up & Check-out required. Q. Title 61 O.S. 113 B (3) Contract must submit a warranty bond in a sum equal to the contract price R. Title 61 O.S. 113 B (4) Contractor must provide evidence of public liability and workers' compensation S. Title 61 O.S. 113 C Contractor may provide a single bond that covers payment, performance and warranty. Contract will not be excused until all bonds and insurance are provided T. Pricing shall include all fees, permits and inspections. Work should be planned for performance during normal work hours unless otherwise agreed upon. Contractor shall submit plan design, manufacturer cut sheet and standard warranty/extended warranty information for all major components with submittal. U. One contract shall be awarded for the design, purchase, and installation of the entire system Bids submitted must be clearly marked on the outside of a sealed envelope: BID 2024.1: Ottawa County Jail Repairs OPEN: July 24 th, 2023 @ 9:05 AM and must be accompanied by a completed and notarized "Statement of Non-Collusion" as required by O.S. 74, Section 85.22. The successful bidder must comply with O.S. 19, Chapter 33 (Purchasing Procedures). Bids received late will be returned unopened. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or make an award to other than the low bidder, if such an award is deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
