This public improvement consists of the construction of two identical walk-out basement foundations to receive prefabricated homes supplied by Design Homes. Additional work includes the construction of the interior walls and finishes of the lower level, including bathroom, stairway, exterior windows, interior and exterior doors, electrical service, HVAC equipment and ductwork, plumbing for fixtures on both the lower and main floors and all exterior patios, lighting, sidewalks and site grading work. Work to be completed on the main floor includes painting of the main floor walls and ceilings, all flooring and an alternate to install and finish tongue and groove wood to the ceiling and walls as indicated on the drawings. Work associated with this project will commence ON OR PRIOR TO April 1, 2024. The foundations and structure required for the Design Home placement shall be substantially completed PRIOR TO July 12, 2024 all remaining work to be substantially completed PRIOR TO November 1, 2024. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The form of the bid security shall be as prescribe by Chapter 26.8, Code of Iowa Question Deadline 10/11/2023 at 5:00 PM CT Questions shall be received by the Architect in writing or by email The estimated cost of construction for this project is $400,000 USD without alternates.
