SCOPE OF WORK The work under this Contract consists of the construction of a new park near the intersection of St Marks Street and Marlborough Road (Route 85). The proposed work includes excavation and grading, stone dust and brick walkways, landscaping, rain garden, loam and seed and other incidental work. A bid alternate has been included for construction of balance stone wall. All work done under this contract shall be in conformance with the 2023 MassDOT Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, the October 2017 Construction Standard Details, MassDOT Traffic Management Plans and Detail Drawings, the latest Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways with Massachusetts Amendments, the the latest edition of American Standard for Nursery Stock; the Plans, and the Special Provisions contained in this book. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Special Provisions shall take precedence over the General Requirements of Division I of the Standard Specifications. A bid deposit of 5% of the total bid price is required as bid security and the selected bidder will be required to post a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid price and post a Performance Bond, in the amount of 100% of the total bid price, upon entering a contract for the Project. Question Deadline 10/05/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Questions must be received no later than October 5th at 5:00pm. All contractor questions must be submitted by mention date 2023. Questions submitted after that time may not be answered.
