General Demolition: The work shall include providing all labor, materials, machinery tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the work as shown on the Contract Drawings and Specifications. Complete demolition and removal of the residential structure, shed, and foundation structure All materials shall be removed and handled as asbestos containing material (ACM) All questions pertaining to these documents shall be directed to Matt Fuller, Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., telephone (315) 457-5200, fax (315) 451-0052 or email mfuller@bartonandloguidice.com Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Town of Camillus prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK A. The items of work under Contract No. 1 - General Demolition include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Complete demolition and removal of existing wood framed residential structure. All soft materials (wood, asphalt shingles, metal flashings, caulks and mastics, etc.) shall be removed and handled as asbestos containing material (ACM). All hard foundation and slab materials shall be broken up and removed as standard demolished waste. 2. Complete demolition and removal of existing shed structure. All soft materials shall be removed and handled as asbestos containing material (ACM). All hard foundation and slab materials (if present) shall be broken up and removed as standard demolished waste. 3. Locate and complete demolition of existing foundation structure between existing residential structure and shed. All hard foundation and slab materials shall be broken up and removed as standard demolished waste. 4. Locate and decommission of septic system in accordance with prevailing regulations. Contents of septic system shall be pumped by licensed septage hauler. Septic tank and other system components shall be removed and taken to a solid waste facility able to accept such material. 5. Cut and cap water service. Locate and remove water storage tank (if applicable). 6. Disconnect power at source to all electrical controls, if any, and remove all controls, panels, and lines on property. 7. Removal of trees adjacent to the structure that will impede work. 8. Backfill with general fill, topsoil, compact, stabilize, and seed demolished areas. Grade for positive drainage
