The Alachua County Housing Authority is looking to replace the aluminum siding and soffiting on multiple units located in Gainesville, Florida and replace with Hardie Board Fiber Cement Plank siding and trim. These units were constructed in 1984 and represent single family homes, duplexes, quadplexes and an 8-plex. There are also single and two story units. Please see the attached listings and pictures for details on units falling under this Invitation. Due to the extent of this request and having various locations specified, ACHA there will not host a formal walk through visit. Interested parties may visit the sites between 9:00am and 5:00pm seven days a week for exterior evaluation only All work will meet or exceed Florida Building Code 2020 unless superseded. Each section must be inspected at each stage by ACHA staff and as required by the local building inspector. Due to past violations, there will be no self-certifications Per unit pricing items will need verification prior to pay approval. Site must be kept safe and clean at all times. Your all-inclusive Sealed Bid is to include the following for each location: 1. Tear off old aluminum siding and soffiting along with damaged underlayment/wood from entire structure; 2. Replace damaged 2 x 4 bracing and/or install as needed*; 3. Replace damaged underlayment, wood and or/fascia*; 4. Install Insulation as required; 5. Install OSB backing*; IFB Siding Replacement - Multiple Units 2023 Page 2 of 4 6. Dry in with house wrap; 7. Install 0.312" x 7.25" Harie Board Fiber Cement siding on all vertical surfaces; 8. Install 3.5" Harie Board Fiber Cement trim 9. Install new aluminum soffiting and fascia on entire building (ACHA to pick color from stock colors); 10. Install aluminum gable end vents to match those removed, too meet code and/or improve energy efficiency; 11. Prime all Hardie Boards with Sherwin Williams Exterior Acrylic Latex Primer 12. Paint all paintable surfaces with Sherwin Williams Exterior Acrylic Latex Superpaint (ACHA to pick color from stock colors) Items noted with an "*" will be priced separately from the overall bid. These items are not visible prior to the removal of old materials. ACHA will need to verify these materials used prior to approval of payment for said items per the approved contract prices. This Scope of Work attempts to note potential issues, materials, and/or conditions at the units. It is recommended that the contractor visit the site to ensure all aspects of the bid are addressed to avoid potential addendums and/or change orders that are not summarily guaranteed approval.
