The deadline for any questions is July 31, 2023 by 5:00 PM Please submit questions online 1. Installation of four (4) generators for the Matagorda County WCID No. 5 in Blessing 2. Installation of two (2) generators for the Matagorda County WD & WSC in Matagorda 3. Other appurtenant items Installation of permanent emergency generators for the Matagorda County WCID No. 5 at the following locations: a. Water Plant No. 1 at Cottonwood St. and Ave. A b. Water Plant No. 2 at 10th St. and live Oak St. c. 9th St. Lift Station between Elm St. and Ash St. d. Wastewater Treatment Plant on Pecan Rd. 2. Installation of permanent emergency generators for the Matagorda Waste Disposal and Water Supply Corporation at the following locations: a. Water Plant No. 1 at Lewis St. between Market St. and Cypress St. b. Water Plant No. 2 at Peach St. and Burton St. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the County's Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts. The deadline for any questions is July 31, 2023 by 5:00 PM. Please submit questions via CivCast. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
