Project Location: Thomas Street between 5th Ave N and Dexter Ave N, and Taylor Ave N between Thomas Street and Harrison Street. Construct bicycle, pedestrian, drainage, and traffic signal improvements including a widened sidewalk and bicycle zone on the north side of Thomas Street, a protected intersection at Thomas Street and Dexter Avenue, new curb ramps, sidewalk, pavement repair, bicycle signals, pedestrian lighting and new signal poles. For the purpose of the Bidder/Subcontractor list, this project includes electrical work and rebar installation. Clarification Deadline: 7/14/2023 5:00 PM There is no pre-bid site inspection meeting scheduled for this project. The Bidder has attached a Bid Guaranty in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid including retail sales tax in the form of cashier's check, certified check, or Bid bond All questions on the Inclusion Plan must be directed to Miguel Beltran at Miguel.beltran@seattle.gov or 206-684-4525. Work must begin immediately on the Notice To Proceed Date in the Written Notice from the Engineer and after the date of such notice must be physically completed within the following period per Section 3 of the Agreement: 130 Working Days If the successful Contractor fails to complete Work within the time set forth above, (s)he will be charged Liquidated Damages per Section 4 of the Agreement and Section 1-08.9. See Section 1-08.9 for method for determining cost of liquidated damages. A/E Estimate: $3,700,000 to $4,100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
