For construction projects, the Village of Oak Park's uses a web-based process through Quest Constructio n Data Network. This process delivers construction project advertisements and bid documents in a timely and cost effective way. The following forms must be completed in their entirety, notarized and included as part of the proposal document. Failure to respond truthfully to any question on the list or failure to cooperate fully with further inquiry by the Village of Oak Park will result in disqualification of your proposal. Upon evaluation of the bids/proposals received, the Village Board must approve a contract with the awarded vendor. The Contractor shall, at the Contractor's expense, secure and maintain in effect throughout the duration of this Contract, insurance of the following kinds and limits set forth in this Section. The Contractor shall furnish "Certificates of Insurance" to the Village before beginning Work on the Project pursuant to this Contract. The contractor shall provide a proposal bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total proposal price. The attached form may be used or the contractor may provide cash or a certified check in the amount specified. The proposal bonds, cash or checks will be returned once the selected contractor has entered into an agreement for this work and provided the Contract bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total approved proposal price. The successful contractor shall, within ten (10) calendar days after award of the Proposal, furnish a contract bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The bond shall ensure faithful performance of the work, and the payment for materials, labor and of the subcontractors The contractor shall be responsible for becoming a licensed contractor in the Village. The contractor shall also be responsible for obtaining any and all required permits from the Village's Development Customer Services Department (Building Permits Division). The Village shall waive all permit fees The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or to waive technicalities, or to accept any item of any proposal. The Village of Oak Park reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work as may be deemed necessary.
