Remove the existing metal roofing, roof sheathing, rafters, eaves, and portions of gable end walls from the Blacksmith Shop building located at 290 Sugar Hill Road, Rexford, NY. Replacement of the removed roof and roof structure with new pre-engineered wood trusses, wood sheathing, insulation, siding, fascia, soffit, and metal roofing system. Lump Sum Bids are requested for the following Contract: General Construction Contract Work shall be substantially completed on or before October 15, 2023, and ready for final payment by November 10, 2023. Deadline for questions is 3:00 PM on July 13, 2023. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing via email. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Bidders must comply with the New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements for ensuring that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Owner, reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. The Owner is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Owner prior to incorporation into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract.
